Beverly Donofrio

After a brief conference orientation, memoirist Beverly Donofrio will kick things off with what promises to be an inspirational talk about sharing your stories.


About Beverly:

Master memoirist Beverly Donofrio has published three well-praised memoirs: the New York Times bestseller, Riding in Cars with Boys, which was made into the cult classic movie of the same name; Looking for Mary, a Barnes and Noble Discover pick; and Astonished, called “astonishing,” by more than one reviewer. Her three children’s books are much praised, the latest, Where’s Mommy, was chosen by the New York Times as a Best Children’s Book of its year; her NPR documentaries are perennially rebroadcast; and her personal essays have appeared in The New York TimesWashington PostLos Angeles TimesO, The Oprah Magazine, Marie Clair, More, Allure, Spirituality and Health, The Village Voice, Huffington Post, and Slate, as well as in over a dozen anthologies. She is an instructor at Wilkes University’s Low Residency MFA program and currently lives in Woodstock, NY, where she is working on essays and a novel.
